On April 1, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public meeting with Radiant staff to discuss their future regulatory engagement.
This was a partially closed observation meeting. Radiant presented slides which are available in ADAMS Accession No.: ML25090A222. Radiant presented a company and design overview Meeting Attendees: See the enclosure for a list of meeting attendees.

Meeting Summary:
Public Session The NRC staff began the meeting with introductions and explained that a portion of the meeting would be closed to the public to discuss proprietary information.
Radiant presented slides (publicly available)
The initial discussion was an overview of Radiant and discussion of the Kaleidos reactor.
o Radiant has 80 employees, approximately $170 million, and a 38,000 sq ft facility in El Segundo, California.
o Kaleidos is a 1MW electric (1.9 MW thermal) reactor with the nuclear and electricity generation components contained in one container.
Radiant then discussed their site selection process. Initially, they evaluated 10 states and then reduced that to four states. They plan to announce their final selection by July of 2025.
Closed Session Discussion of topics that involve propriety information.
No regulatory decisions were made as a result of this meeting.
