OF THE MAY 14, 2025, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2024 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 On May 14, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2024 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2, along with general information on the NRC.
The open house was held at Braidwood City Hall in Braidwood, Illinois. The NRC discussed plant performance with members of the public and local government officials listed in the attached enclosure.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Braidwood Station, as documented in the March 11, 2025, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML25065A004) during the public outreach. The NRC made various resources available to those in attendance, such as the assessment letter, inspection reports, fact sheets and brochures, and other public documents.
