On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am submitting the NRC's report on "Mission Alignment: Updated Mission Statement and Guidance to Ensure Effective Performance of the Mission" as required by the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile, Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy Act of 2024 (ADVANCE Act), Section 501. The enclosed report describes the NRC's update to its mission statement, guidance to implement the mission statement, and execution strategy to ensure effective performance of the mission. The NRC will continue to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and timeliness of agency operations consistent with the ADVANCE Act, updated mission statement, and associated guidance.
