SUMMARY
- LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES, L.L.C. (dba) URENCO USA, DOCKET NUMBER 70-3103 On April 29, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with staff from URENCO USA to allow them to discuss non-public details of IROFS C23, non-public details of IROFS C23 testing and verification for the new cascades they are bringing online, documents URENCO would provide for inspection, and the timeline for IROFS C23 testing and verification based on projected site operations. URENCOs presentation material is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System under Accession Nos.: ML25133A243 (publicly available cover letter) and ML25133A244 (non-public enclosure).
The meeting provided the NRC and URENCO staff with a forum to discuss the details and schedule of IROFS C23 testing, the impacts of IROFS C23 on URENCO USAs operations, training for NRC inspectors on the IROFS, and the NRCs inspection scope and schedule related to IROFS C23 and the new cascades. The meeting allowed for more effective and efficient planning of upcoming inspections. No decisions were made during the meeting. The list of meeting attendees is enclosed.
