NRC Inspection of ASR at Seabrook In 2024, the NRC completed inspections to assess NextEras performance to manage the effects of ASR in Seabrook structures
- Resident inspectors and specialists from Region I and NRC Headquarters involved
- Focused on compliance with NRC-approved methodology and license conditions NRC inspections in 2024 determined Seabrook structures remain capable of performing their safety functions NRC inspectors identified two findings of very low safety (Green) significance related to ASR in 2024 11

- NRC-identified findings
- NCV 2024001-02: NextEra did not analyze the reactor cavity pit slab in the revised CIS structural evaluation
- NCV 2024010-02: NextEra did not correct an adverse condition associated with a tubing support from ASR deformation
- The NRC presented the results of inspection activities to the ACRS in September 2024
