Draft for State Review - EA for amendment to delete LC 14 - UUSA.pdf
Dear Santiago Rodgriguez,
Urenco USA (UUSA) has requested NRC approval of a license amendment to remove a condition (LC
- 14) that prohibits UUSA from shipping depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) to a deconversion facility that produces anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. If approved, the license amendment would remove this restriction and allow UUSA to ship DUF6 to such a facility, should one become available.
The NRC staff has prepared a draft environmental assessment (EA) of the potential environmental impacts of this proposed license amendment.
Please review the draft EA and provide any comments to me by May 2, 2025. The draft EA is not publicly available, is limited for use by the staff of the NMED, and should not be disclosed without prior NRC permission. The attached document will require a password to open - I will send the password separately.
If you have any questions, please contact me at the number below or by responding to this email.
Kind Regards, Christine
