Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is export license application PXB252.00 from Southwest Research Institute, which was accepted for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on April 8, 2025. In this export license application, Southwest Research Institute is seeking approval to export an irradiation unit with three Cesium-137 sources at a total activity level of 34.9 Terabecquerels (TBq). This irradiation unit will be used for blood samples by ICCO Medical in Romania.
As a matter of process and in accordance with 10 CFR Part 110.81, the export license application will be publicly available for review for 30 days. If no dissenting public comments are received, and all applicable legal requirements are satisfied, the NRC will issue the license after the 30-day comment period.
