ROUTE RE-APPROVAL APPLICATION (U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ROUTE NO. 247B), DOCKET NUMBER: 070-07011
Dear Mr. Hunt:
By letter dated December 9, 2024, Secure Transportation Services requested that the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) re-approve truck route No. 247B for transporting spent nuclear fuel, in accordance with the requirements of Section 73.37 in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR 73.37).
The NRC has reviewed your December 9, 2024, application, as supplemented on March 10, 2025, and concluded that the information provided satisfies the requirements of 10 CFR 73.37.
The approved route will expire May 10, 2030. The NRC expects you to periodically review and update the emergency telephone numbers associated with this route. Changes to emergency contact numbers do not qualify as a route deviation or change.
