OF THE APRIL 16, 2025, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2024 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION On April 16, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting (open house) with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2024 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Ottawa National Wildlife Preserve Visitors Center in Oak Harbor, OH. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and a number of state employees. Representatives from Vistra were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Davis-Besses performance during the public outreach.
The assessment information was documented in the March 11, 2025, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML25064A447). Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff.
