This letter transmits the presentation slides for the April 18, 2025 public meeting regarding the applicability of 10 CFR Part 21 and 10 CFR 50.55(e) to the Hermes non-power reactors. During the April 18 public meeting, participants will discuss an approach to comply with 10 CFR Part 21 and 10 CFR 50.55(e) for the Hermes non-power reactors. This approach incorporates Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff feedback provided by letter dated February 27, 2025 (Reference 1) on Kairos Power white paper Basic Component Definition for the Hermes Non-Power Test Reactors submitted April 1, 2024 (Reference 2).
The slides are provided in the enclosure to this letter. Kairos Power authorizes the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to reproduce and distribute the submitted content, as necessary, to support the conduct of their regulatory responsibilities.
