REGULATORY GUIDES During the 724th meeting of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS),
April 2 through 3, the Committee considered the following regulatory guide. No response to this memorandum is requested.
REGULATORY GUIDES 1.
Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.87, Revision 3 (Previously Draft Guide (DG)-1436), Acceptability of ASME Code Section III Division 5 for High-Temperature Reactors, (ML24275A266). The Committee does not request to review this document.
2.
RG 1.242, Revision 1, "Performance-Based Emergency Preparedness for Small Modular Reactors, Non-Light-Water Reactors, and Non-Power Production or Utilization Facilities."
The Committee does not request a review of the regulatory guide unless the staff proposes to take exceptions in endorsing NEI 24-05, An Approach for Risk-Informed Performance-Based Emergency Planning (ML24184C120) or if NEI disagrees with any portion of the revised guide. The Committee also would like to see the revised regulatory guide with changes highlighted to the Committee.
