Request for Approval of Wireless Device - Abbot Freestyle Libre Series Glucose Monitors

Pursuant to Reference 1, Louisiana Energy Services, also dba Urenco USA (UUSA) herewith requests approval of a wireless medical device to be used in areas designated for storage of classified information.
UUSA personnel using the Freestyle Libre series of continuous glucose monitors will wear the sensor in closed areas. The sensors are capable of transmitting glucose information to a separate reader. UUSA requests approval of the sensor and reader for use in closed areas. Although the sensor is also capable of pairing and communicating with smart devices, UUSA is not requesting approval for use of the sensor and paired smart device in closed areas.
