Dear Dir. Warden:

Enclosed is export license application PXB251.00 which was accepted for review by the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission on March 20, 2025. In this application, Schlumberger Technology Corporation is seeking approval to export Category 2 quantities of Americium-241/Beryllium, and specified quantities of Californium-252, and Cesium-137 for oilfield servicing, to Ultimate Consignees located in Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa).

Sealed Neutron Source for Well Logging Cf-252 No single source to exceed 7.4 E-4 TBq (0.019 Ci) 4 2.96 E-3 TBq (0.076 Ci)

Sealed Neutron Source for Well Logging Cs-137 No single source to exceed 6 E-5 TBq (0.06 mCi) 20 1.20 E-03 TBq (1.2 Ci) Detector stabilization in well logging instrument We request views from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, and in accordance with established procedures, as to whether the proposed export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

J. Warden Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) are listed as Tier 3 countries on the Appendix 1-Country List. As such, with favorable views from the Executive Branch, the proposed export will be authorized under export license PXB251.00.
