& Nonproliferation U.S. Department of State 2201 C Street, NW, Room 3320 HST Washington, D.C. 20520
Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is export license amendment application XCOM1293/01 which was accepted for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on March 13, 2025. In this application, Technetics Group Columbia is seeking to amend export license XCOM1293 (its active license) which authorizes the export of reactor pressure vessel metal seals, clips, and retainer screws to Brazil, as replacement parts for use at the Angra Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3.
If this export license amendment request is approved, the expiration date on the export license would be extended from December 31, 2025, to December 31, 2030.
We request your assistance to obtain the assurances necessary to facilitate this export licensing request from the Government of Brazil, which should meet at a minimum the criteria in Section 109.b of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the licensing officer, Joanne Savoy at Joanne.Savoy@nrc.gov and please forward your response to ecnp_ebresponse.resource@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, 4/4/2025 X Janelle B. Jessie Janelle B. Jessie Signed by: Janelle B. Jessie Janelle B. Jessie, Acting Branch Chief Export Controls and Nonproliferation Branch Office of International Programs
