VENDOR INSPECTION OF GE HITACHI NUCLEAR ENERGYS QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM AND TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 21 PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Dear Mr. Griffin:
This letter documents the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energys Appendix B, Quality Assurance Program Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Reprocessing Plants, to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities, 10 CFR Part 21, Reporting of Defects and Noncompliance, and 10 CFR 73.21, Protection of Safeguards Information: Performance Requirements, programs as they pertain to activities conducted at your facility related to the supply of safety-related and balance-of-plant equipment and services (e.g., commercial-grade dedication of electrical and mechanical components, engineering services, etc.) for U.S nuclear power plants. As discussed in a phone call on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the NRC inspection team plans to arrive at your facility on Monday, June 2, 2025, and will conduct an inspection through Friday, June 6, 2025. After the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
