UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSE TO NRC
INSPECTION REPORT 05000407/2024201 AND DISPUTED NOTICE OF
VIOLATION
Dear Dr. Goodell,
This letter acknowledges your February 18, 2025, correspondence (Agencywide Document and
Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25050A611) sent in response to
U.S. NRC Inspection Report 05000407/2024201 (ML24261B239) dated January 21, 2025. In
your letter, you dispute one notice of violation (NOV 05000407/2024201-01) associated with the
failure to obtain a license amendment for a required change to technical specifications
incorporated in the license. The NRC is currently reviewing your basis for contesting the
violation in accordance with Section 2.8 of the Enforcement Manual. Accordingly, we will provide
the results of our evaluation by written response once the evaluation is completed.
