Dear Dir Warden:
Enclosed is export license application XR179, dated February 20, 2025, received by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical Corporation.
The applicant requests the export of four reactor coolant pumps, two replacement reactor coolant pumps, and minor reactor components and associated equipment listed in paragraphs 5 through 11 of Appendix A to 10 CFR Part 110, "Illustrative List of Nuclear Reactor Equipment under NRC Export Licensing Authority" for the construction, maintenance, and operation of Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 4, located in the Peoples Republic of China (AP-1000 design).
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the export authorization requested meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
Please note that the dollar amount on page one of the NRC Form 7 is proprietary information.
The NRC will not include this information in the public record and requests that the Executive Branch agencies protect it as well.
If you have any question or need additional information, please contact licensing officer Andrea R. Jones at Andrea.Jones2@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, X
