COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SUBSEQUENT RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION EA-21-170 AND EA-23-054
Dear David Brown:
This letter acknowledges your letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission dated February 24, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS]
Accession No. ML25055A142), which provided a follow-up response to your letter dated July 30, 2024 (ADAMS Accession No. ML24212A327). Your letter notes that Energy Northwest conducted a root cause that encompassed the event as a whole, incorporated external feedback, and provided a clearer layout of analysis and actions in a single root cause product.
Additionally, your letter stated that Energy Northwest has returned to full compliance and has determined a comprehensive corrective action plan for long-term sustained compliance related to the violations documented in Inspection Reports 05000397/2023090 and 05000397/2023093.
We have reviewed your letter and have no further questions currently. The NRC will review the effectiveness of your corrective actions during a future inspection.
