Dear Ms. Zozula,
By letter dated March 8, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24072A267), Westinghouse Electric Company submitted Topical Report (TR) WCAP-18869-P/NP, Revision 0, High Performance Cladding for Use in Boiling Water Reactor Fuel, for U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval. The NRC staff has reviewed the TR WCAP-18869-P/NP, Revision 0, conducted a regulatory audit on December 12-13, 2024, and determined that additional information is required to complete the review. Draft requests for additional information (RAIs) were provided to Westinghouse via box for the proprietary review. Westinghouse did not request a clarification call. Final RAIs proprietary version reflects Westinghouse proprietary markup with proprietary information redacted in the non-proprietary version of the RAIs.
I have placed an electronic version of the proprietary version of the NRC final RAIquestionsforWestinghouse TR WCAP-18869-P/NP, Revision 0,in the box.com folder and have given Nathaniel Mackereth, Westinghouse, access to it. The non-proprietary version of the final RAI questions can be accessed in ADAMS. This email serves as a formal transmittal of those final RAIquestions. When responding to the RAIquestions, please provide a proprietary version and a non-proprietary version of the responses.
Nathaniel Mackereth, Westinghouse, indicated via the email dated February 18, 2025, that the responses to the NRCRAIs will be submitted to the NRC within 60 days from the receipt of the final RAIs. In order to support theNRCstaffs review schedule, please provide your responses within the indicated timeframe.
This email will also go in ADAMS and will be declared public.
