Dear Secretary Burgum:
March 13, 2025 I am providing the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) combined response in accordance with Sections 4(a), 4(c), and 5(a) of Executive Order (EO) 14156, entitled "Declaring a National Energy Emergency," dated January 20, 2025. Section 4(a) directs the heads of all agencies to provide a summary report listing planned or potential actions to facilitate the Nation's energy supply that may be subject to emergency treatment under Army Corps of Engineers permitting provisions. Section 4(c) directs agencies to provide status reports every 30 days after the initial report during the national energy emergency. Section 5(a) directs the heads of all agencies to provide a summary report listing planned or potential actions to facilitate the Nation's energy supply that may be subject to the Endangered Species Act regulation on consultations in emergencies.
