3rd Quarter FY 2024 Email Update re: Consultation between the Osage Nation and the NRC pertaining to Indiana's request for Agreement Good day, The purpose of this email is to provide an update on the progress of the NRCs review of Indianas request for an agreement, as of the third quarter of fiscal year 2024. This email is being sent in accordance with the Consultation Agreement between the Osage Nation and the NRC, as detailed in letter dated March 22, 2022 (ML22018A178).
Significant Activities/Accomplishments The State submitted a draft Agreement State Application to the NRC on April 1, 2024.
Monthly status meetings between the State of Indiana and NRC were held on April 3, May 6, and June
- 3.
On June 20, Indiana submitted a revised version of regulations for NRC review.
Indiana staff continue to attend NRC training courses and accompany NRC inspectors and Agreement State inspectors on inspections in the State.
Upcoming Activities Indiana will address NRC comments and then send proposed regulations out for public comment.
The NRC Application Review team will provide comments on Indiana's Draft Agreement Application to the state.
