1st Quarter FY 2025 Email Update re: Consultation between the Osage Nation and the NRC pertaining to Indiana's request for Agreement Good day, The purpose of this email is to provide an update on the progress of the NRCs review of Indianas request for an agreement, as of the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. This email is being sent in accordance with the Consultation Agreement between the Osage Nation and the NRC, as detailed in letter dated March 22, 2022 (ML22018A178).
Significant Activities/Accomplishments The State continues revising their draft Agreement Application to the NRC and expects to have it completed by the end of January 2025.
Monthly status meetings between the State of Indiana and NRC were held on October 3, November 13, and December 4.
Indiana staff continue to attend NRC training courses and accompany NRC and Agreement State inspectors on inspections in the State.
Indiana has started training with NRC Region III licensing staff.
Upcoming Activities Indiana is planning to send proposed regulations out for public comments in Spring 2025.
The NRC Application Review team will provide comments on Indiana's draft Agreement Application to the state.
