The NRC staff has completed its environmental review for the license renewal application from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) for the site-specific Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at Diablo Canyon, near San Luis Obispo, CA. The Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) was published in the Federal Register on November 12, 2024 (89 FR 89056).
The Environmental Assessment (EA) and FONSI are publicly available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The ADAMS accession number for the EA is ML24296A038 and the ADAMS accession number for the FONSI is ML24275A065.
