This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.
Purpose:
To provide the results of the NRC staff's environmental review of the subsequent license renewal environmental report for Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1, as documented in its draft supplemental environmental impact statement, and provide an opportunity for public comment on the NRC staff's findings.

Note: This meeting was originally scheduled for January 9 but was postponed to January 28 due to the date's designation as a National Day of Mourning. The meeting will be preceded by an open house session beginning at 5pm EST for members of the public to converse informally with NRC staff. Please note that agenda times are estimated and, depending on the participation level, the meeting could adjourn earlier than scheduled. If there are concerns with a potential early meeting adjournment, please inform the point of contact for this meeting (kimberly.conway@nrc.gov).
