ACCEPTANCE OF DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING PLAN FOR REUTER-STOKES, LLC, NRC MATERIALS LICENSE NO. SNM-1826
Dear Kimberly A. Kuhls:
In accordance with the requirement in Tittle 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR)
Section 70.25(e)(2), Reuter-Stokes, LLC resubmitted the decommissioning funding plan with adjustments as necessary to account for changes in costs and the extent of contamination associated with NRC Materials License No. SNM-1826. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff completed its review of the decommissioning funding plan dated November 14, 2024 (NRCs document system, Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML24320A122 (non-public)) according to the guidance in NUREG-1757, Volume 3, Revision 1, Financial Assurance, Recordkeeping, and Timeliness. Based on the review, the NRC staff has determined that the decommissioning funding plan conforms to NRC guidance.
An environmental assessment for this action is not required because this action is categorically excluded under 10 CFR 51.22(c).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs ADAMS, accessible from the NRC Web site at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
