(1) UUTR Safety Analysis Report Chapter 12.1 (2) UUTR Technical Specification 6.7.2 (3) ANSI/ANS 15.4-2016 Per Ref (1), the University of Utahs Level 2 is the individual responsible for reactor facility operation. In accordance with Ref (2), the University of Utah is required to provide a special report within 30 days of a permanent change in the facility organization involving Level 1 or Level 2 personnel.
On January 2nd, 2025, Dr. Edward Goodell was officially appointed as reactor facility director of the University of Utah TRIGA Reactor (UUTR) and has properly relieved Andrew Allison of all duties and responsibilities related to reactor facility management. Dr. Edward Goodell satisfies the experience requirements of Ref (3) for this position.
Dr. Erin Rothwell continues to serve as Level 1 for UUTR. Andrew Allison remains working for the facility as reactor supervisor (Level 3).
