RESPONSE TO REQUEST TO RESCHEDULE DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION TRIENNIAL U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION-EVALUATED FORCE-ON-FORCE INSPECTION
Dear Jesse Joyal:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received your email titled Davis-Besse 2026 Triennial FOF (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System accession number ML24351A171) and has conducted a review of the information contained within. In addition to the email, phone conversations with you stated that Davis-Besse is requesting to reschedule the NRC-evaluated force-on-force (FOF) inspection because of a security project upgrade at the station.
The staff finds Davis-Besses request to reschedule the NRC-evaluated FOF inspection reasonable. As such, the NRC-evaluated FOF inspection will now be conducted during the weeks of May 18, 2026 and June 8, 2026. Region III security staff will work with the site on adjusting their regional baseline security inspections that are scheduled during this timeframe.
