Thank you for taking my call this morning and talking with me. Based on our conversation and a quick follow up with others, Ohio EPA does not have comments on this. Please continue to include me as Ohio EPAs point of contact and I will coordinate our interests on behalf of our Agency.

update re: Request for State review by Nov 27: Draft EA for proposed amendment to allow extension of HALEU operations at the ACP
Good Morning,
Id like to make a clarification regarding the EA I sent for review on November 4. Currently, the EA
states that the NRC is proposing to allow ACO to continue HALEU operations under Phase 2 until June 30, 2025. This assumed that Phase 3 of the HALEU demonstration project would start on July 1, 2025. Because of uncertainty related to the timeframe of the NRCs licensing and financial reviews for Phase 3, as well as DOE-ACO contract obligations, the NRC has decided to include a date of December 31, 2025, in the amendment instead of June 30. This extended date would enable ACO to continue operating the HALEU cascade as currently licensed until Phase 3 is approved, should the approval be delayed beyond June 30. I realize this may be confusing, so please let me know if you have any questions.
Also, I have already heard from Chris and Shannon that DPS and ODH will have no comments on the EA, so unless there are comments as a result of this date change, I am only waiting for any comments from the Ohio EPA folks.
Thank you, Christine

Request for State review by Nov 27: Draft EA for proposed amendment to allow extension of HALEU operations at the ACP
Dear Staff of the ODH,
OEPA, and OEMA,
For review only by staff of the State of Ohio, attached is a password-protected file containing a draft Federal Register notice that includes the NRCs EA assessing the potential environmental impacts of the proposed amendment of American Centrifuge Operatings license SNM-2011 to allow the continuation of HALEU operations until June 30, 2025. Please review the draft EA and provide any comments by November 27.
Ill send the password in a separate email.
Kind Regards, Christine
