Request for Re-Approval of Wireless Medical Device in Classified Areas

In Reference 1, Louisiana Energy Services, also dba URENCO USA (UUSA) requested approval of the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, and the associated receiver, to be used in areas designated for classified information. NRC approved the request in Reference 2 and approved the use of the associated insulin pump in Reference 3. Reference 2 specified that the device approval would expire on March 31, 2025.
In order to ensure the UUSA employees continue to be authorized to use their devices, UUSA requests reauthorization of the Dexcom G6 CGM system, dedicated receiver and associated insulin pump. UUSA requests this approval by 1/31/2025 in order to allow our employees sufficient time to obtain an alternate device should approval not be granted.
