Update to NRC Review Schedule for KSU Part 55 Exemption Request
Dear Dr. Cebula:
By letter dated March 7, 2024, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24085A808), as supplemented by letter dated June 11 (ML24164A092) and October 4 (ML24281A032), 2024, Kansas State University (KSU) requested an exemption for select Part 55 Operators Licensing requirements at the Kansas State University TRIGA research reactor.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a schedule update to the review of the LAR. Based on current staff review schedules, the NRC staff now expects to complete its review and make a final determination on the exemption request by December 20, 2024. This estimate could change due to several factors, such as a need for requests for additional information. The NRC staff will promptly communicate any additional schedule changes that would extend the expected completion date.
