[External_Sender] Public Comment for the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) meeting November 20 To: NRC Members Hanson, Wright, Caputo, and Crowell From June Cochran, a Pismo resident who lives in close proximity to Diablo Nuclear Power Plant I know you are all people who believe in science and facts. Please prove it and stop this unbelievable give out to an aging plant that is on not just one but multiple earthquake faults and should have not been built in the first place. We had an agreement with ALL parties to shut Diablo down at the end of the licenses of Units 1 and 2 in 2024 and 2025. Similar to the agreements with Native Americans over many years, the powers that be went back on their word for no reason -- there is NOT an energy emergency; this is greed. Please release the funds set to keep this plant open for no reason so they can be utilized to fund renewable energy and other worthy proprojects.

The earthquake faults directly under the plant are now known through scientific data as thrust faults. It is estimated the chances of a significant earthquake will cause catastrophic damage to the core will be 47 times higher than the current estimate stated. My husband and I were evacuated from our home during the Avila fire and we were stuck on Mattie Rd going south which quickly became a parking lot as we were trying to travel out of the area. This was just a small evacuation so the Evacuation section of the draft supplemental environmental impact statement is erroneous and an updated traffic study should be ordered.

People will die whether they stay home or try to evacuate and the agricultural crops that feed the nation will be inedible. The money keeping this plant open will just go down the drain and used for bonuses for the executives of PG&E when it could help solve problems now. Let's stop giving subsidies to fossil fuels and nuclear. No company will even insure nuclear for very good reasons.

Pease listen to your brain, not to those waving dollars at you and feeding you false information.
