Thank you for your November 5, 2024, communication to Chair Christopher Hanson on the BWRX-300 postulated break audit question supplemental response.1 I am responding to your expressed concern regarding the timeline for resolving the audit issue related to reactor vessel isolation. Your email summarized an attached document that supplemented the GE Hitachi (GEH) response to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) audit question asked as part of the review of the BWRX-300 Safety Strategy Licensing Topical Report. 2 The NRC is committed to working with GEH on the resolution of this issue and has prioritized the resolution of the issue as part of its review of this Topical Report.
