The purpose of this email is to provide an update on U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulatory activities for the site of the former Cimarron nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Logan County, Oklahoma (Cimarron site). The NRC previously sent letters and emails about the Cimarron site, and our most recent update to the Otoe-Missouria Tribe was sent by email on June 9, 2023.

As part of the environmental review for the NRCs review of the proposed groundwater treatment at the site, the NRC staff is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The NRC staff is soliciting comments on the historic and cultural resources sections of the draft EA and findings under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. I have attached the information to this email. The purpose of this email is to provide an update on U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulatory activities related to the former Cimarron nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Logan County, Oklahoma (Cimarron Site). The NRC previously sent letters and emails about the Cimarron Site, and our most recent update to the United Keetoowah Band was sent by email on June 8, 2023.

As part of the environmental review for the NRCs review of the proposed groundwater treatment at the site, the NRC staff is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The NRC staff is soliciting comments on the historic and cultural resources sections of the draft EA and findings under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. I have attached the information to this email.
