Dear Mr. Lux,

Thank you for providing DEQ with the Bat Habitat and Aquatic Habitat Assessment Report.

DEQ attempted to contact the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) by phone and email to request assistance with reviewing the biological assessment. Unfortunately, a response was not received in the expected timeframe.

It is DEQs understanding that NRC has made contact with FWS. To proceed efficiently, DEQ would like clarification on the following:

Is a desktop survey sufficient for the aquatic assessment, or is a field assessment necessary?

Please confirm whether the identified bat roost locations are confirmed or potential roosts.

Which agency, NRC or FWS, will assume jurisdiction for clearing?
