Dear Mr. Boyle:

TN Americas LLC, on behalf of behalf of Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. (MNF),

applied in accordance with §173.473 for revalidation of the Japanese Competent Authority Certification [1]. In response to a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) request for recommendation [2], the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requested supplemental information to star t their review of the application [3].

Enclosure 1 provides MNF responses to the supplemental information requested.

Enclosure 2 is a statement of proprietary information pursuant to 49 CFR 7.14, 49 CFR 105.30, and 10 CFR 2.390 for the supplemental information provided in Enclosure 1.

Enclosures transmitted herein contain SUNSI. When separated from enclosures, this transmittal docume nt is decontrolled.

Lastly, we have included a non-proprietary versi on of the Model MFC-1 Package Safety Analysis Report (Enclosure 3), a non-proprietary version of the MNF Fundamental Policy of Quality Management (Enclosure 4), and a revision comparison table of the MNF Fundamental Policy of Quality Management (Enclosure 5).
