ENCLOSURE 2 NOTES FOR THE JULY 23, 2024, PARTIALLY CLOSED MEETING WITH X ENERGY, LLC, AND DOW CHEMICAL TO DISCUSS PROJECT LONG MOTT GEOTECHNICAL AND GROUNDWATER MODELING APPROACH The table below contains the NRC questions and corresponding X-energy responses for the topics discussed during the open portion of the meeting.

NRC Questions X-energy Responses As slide 9 cites RG1.132, how do the three borings at each location would support the initial submission of the construction permit application? Does X-energy plan to use guidance in RG 1.132 and then supplement with additional data from three borings at each safety-related structure?

The initial construction permit submission will be based on borings drilled to date; A supplement will be provided with data at the safety-related structure locations.

This topic will be further discussed in closed session.

What does the Commercial Grade Dedication (CDG) entail pertaining to bringing groundwater characterization data to quality?

X-energy has identified existing Dow wells that are part of an annual monitoring program. X-energy will re-survey these wells, conduct camera investigation to determine if they are consistent with available data (boring logs and well installation diagrams) and if they are in suitable condition to yield water level information. The CDG process also includes reviewing compliance with state requirements.

Will X-energy keep maintenance records to note all steps used for vetting the CDG wells and to validate the data?

X-energy will maintain records and document steps. They also plan to put locks on the wells so only they will have access during data gathering.
