Dear Christian Williams:

The staff has issued the environmental assessment, and Finding of No Significant Impact related to your application for an exemption dated September 19, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession Number No.

ML24263A206). The proposed action would allow Constellation Energy Generation to load and maintain loaded MPC-68M-CBS in the HI-STORM 100 Cask System at the LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 ISFSI in the storage condition where the terms, conditions, and specifications in CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 8 Revision No. 1 are not met, solely applies to the four currently loaded and future planned loadings of four non-compliant CBS canisters beginning in June 2025. This action, if approved, would be permitted under exemption from Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 72, sections 72.212(a)(2); 72.212(b)(3); 72.212(b)(5)(i); 72.212(b)(11) and 72.214.
