Dear Mr. Bolin:
By letter dated November 9, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No.: ML23317A091) General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) submitted a white paper (WP) titled, Fast Modular Reactor Source Term Methodology, (ML23317A093) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review. The WP describes the methodology used for radiation source term calculation and analysis results of GA-EMSs helium-cooled fast modular rector design.
The enclosure to this letter provides the NRC staffs feedback on the November 9, 2023, WP for GA-EMS to consider as part of any future submittal that may address this topic.
