MEETING OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE MEDICAL USES OF ISOTOPES August 29, 2024 MEETING
SUMMARY
PURPOSE To review and provide feedback and recommendations on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs draft Financial Assurance Requirements for Disposition of Category 1
- 3 Byproduct Material Radioactive Sealed Sources regulatory basis document.
OUTCOME The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff gained a better understanding of the views and opinions of the ACMUI, as well as other stakeholders views and opinions. The staff will consider the ACMUIs comments and recommendations prior to finalizing the draft Financial Assurance Requirements for Disposition of Category 1 - 3 Byproduct Material Radioactive Sealed Sources regulatory basis document.
