REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCE OF GLOBAL LASER ENRICHMENT (GLE)
INTERIM AUTHORIZATION TO OPERATE THE CLASSIFIED CYBER NETWORK
Reference:
(1) Authorization for Interim Authority to Operate Extension for Global Laser Enrichment LLC Classified Systems, dated September 25, 2023 On September 25, 2023, Global Laser Enrichment, LLC (GLE) received notice that the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) extended GLEs existing interim authority to operate (IATO) for the Classified Information Systems (CIS) located in Wilmington, NC valid until September 30, 2024. Per Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 95.49 and 32 CFR 117.18(e)(6) authorization is required by the cognizant security agency authorizing official (AO) to continue the operation of the CIS. The general conditions outlined in the authorization continue to be met. GLE is respectfully requesting a subsequent IATO beyond September 30, 2024, in order to continue operation of its CIS.
