J. Borromeo Meeting Summary:
On June 12, 2024, a hybrid closed meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of Oklo Inc. (Oklo). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Oklos proposed approach to physical security for the Aurora Powerhouse.
Oklo representatives provided an overview of the Aurora Powerhouse design features, the guidance to be used in developing target sets, and the target set analysis methodology. The NRC staff shared its expectations regarding the level of detail needed to support the analyses in a license application.
This topic will be included in the information provided to the staff for the readiness assessment.
There are no additional interactions currently planned in advance of the readiness assessment; Oklo will inform the staff if they see a need for additional discussion.
No regulatory decisions were made as a result of this meeting.
