Dear Sirs:
Consider analyzing this indirect impact of AI electrical demand.
A key environmental benefit nuclear energy provides is lower GHG emissions per kilowatt/hour compared to fossil fuels and continuous base load power compared wind and solar interruptable renewables.
Prior to the projected huge electrical demands needed for Artificial Intelligence processing, renewable and nuclear power would largely replace fossil fueled power plants resulting in a net reduction of GHGs.
However the reasonably foreseeable future action is that low GHG emitting renewables and nuclear will primarily provide power to the demand growth needed AI economic sector instead of replacing reductions in GHG emissions as projected in DOEs energy demand models.
The upcoming EIS should assess the indirect effect of the significant future increase AI electrical demand will create in US electric demand modeling.
