U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AUDIT REPORT FROM THE JUNE 3, 2024, PREAPPLICATION DISCUSSIONS WITH THE PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP REGARDING THE CONCEPTUAL TOPICAL REPORT FOR AN ON-LINE MONITORING PROGRAM (EPID L-2024-LRM-0048)
On June 3, 2024, as part of preapplication activities, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a regulatory audit with the Pressurized Water Reactor Owners Group (PWROG) to discuss the conceptual topical report which includes an on-line monitoring program. The NRC audit participants included NRC staff from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research, and the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response.
The virtual audit was performed via Microsoft Teams. The purpose and objective of the audit was to improve review process efficiency through direct interaction with the PWROG technical team. More specifically, the audit allowed the NRC staff to discuss all the items required in a future application submittal.
