[External_Sender] Approval of Terra Power nuclear reactor project The reticence of the public, with its lack of technical knowledge supplanted by overwhelming fears, mostly highly exaggerated, has formed the basis of public policy for more than 40 years.
America should be smarter than this. We have the imagination and engineering skills to utilize nuclear power. It is not some unique uncontrollable force, as France has demonstrated for decades, to our humiliation.
The Natrium Reactor is an advanced generation nuclear reactor that cannot, in good conscience or moral responsibility, be sidelined. It is instead, incumbent upon this country and its leaders to grasp this new opportunity to use our best and brightest to help save Mother Earth from the impending climate catastrophe.
Humanity needs more energy, not less. There is NO better way to provide the energy to maintain and improve the human condition than this and similar non-polluting sources.
Therefore, I urge, in the strongest possible terms, the approval of this and any other such projects.
