[External_Sender] Monticello request for license extension A nuclear power plant built for a 20-year life span should NOT be extended to 80 years. This plant is the same GE Mark 1 Boiling Water Reactor that melted down in Japans 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
It is especially irresponsible to extend Monticello's threat of a massive disaster when wind/solar/batteries provide cheap and safe and much cleaner sources of energy, without the huge toxic waste problem nuclear engineers have not solved after all these years.
Sincerely, Charlene M. Woodcock Berkeley CA
