RECEIPT OF NEI LETTER, PROPOSED CHANGES TO INSPECTION PROCEDURE 71130.10, CYBERSECURITY
Dear Rich Mogavero:
This letter acknowledges receipt of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) letter, Proposed Changes to Inspection Procedure (IP) 71130.10, Cybersecurity, dated June 14, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24173A271). The letter provides comments related to the public meeting hosted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on May 7. 2024, where the NRC staff proposed six options for improving cybersecurity inspections. The letter also includes NEIs recommended changes to cybersecurity inspections for staff consideration.
The staff will continue to engage with NEI and industry stakeholders regarding the implementation and effectiveness of the cybersecurity oversight program.
