We are following up regarding the status of the proposed Indiana regulations 290 IAC 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4, 3-5, 3-6, 3-7, 3-8, and 3-9, received by our office on March 5, 2024. On April 25, 2024, NRC NMSS and OGC staff met with Indiana legal and your staff to discuss structural composition concerns and incorporation by reference discrepancies in the Indiana regulations. On May 6, 2024, NRC sent an email communicating initial OGC comments on the proposed regulations to Indiana.
Based on those comments Indiana revised the proposed regulations that were submitted in March and sent it to NRC. This revision along with the updated Regulatory Review Sheets (crosswalks) were received on June 20, 2024. Future comments and discussions will be based on the June 20, 2024 version of Indiana proposed regulations. Please contact me or Solomon Sahle if you have any questions.
