I am responding to your letter dated April 19, 2024, which requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approve of a truck route, designated as truck route No. 271, for transport of spent nuclear fuel.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has reviewed your application and concluded that the information provided satisfies the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 73.37. The approved route will expire June 30, 2029. The NRC expects your periodic review and update of the emergency telephone numbers associated with this route. Changes to emergency contact numbers do not qualify as a route deviation or change.
