OF THE JUNE 10, 2024, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2023 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT On June 10, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2023 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, along with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Perry Public Library in Perry, Ohio. The NRC discussed plant performance with members of the public in attendance at this meeting, and state and local government officials listed in the attached enclosure.
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, as documented in the February 28, 2024, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML24057A351) during the public outreach. Representatives from the NRC made links to that letter, inspection reports, fact sheets and brochures, and other public documents available to those in attendance. Members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff.
