Steve, This email is to notify you that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region II staff will conduct a fire protection (FP) inspection at your facility during the week of June 24, 2024. The inspection will focus on the core inspection procedures described in Inspection Manual Chapter 2600; and will use Inspection Procedure 88055, Fire Protection. The inspectors will be myself and Justin Raudabaugh.

As you are already aware, both Justin and I will need to get badged. We have been contacted by Brian May and sent the training. We have also contacted to you and provided the needed information. Please let us know if there is anything else that is needed from us. Also, we will need access to the Urenco sharepoint site.

Preliminary, we are hoping to be to the site around 1100 June 24th to go through the badging process and requesting that an entrance meeting be scheduled for 1300 on June 24th with an exit meeting scheduled for 1600 on June 28th. Times on the 24th may shift once we finalize our travel.

Please see the attached document request to support the inspection activities. If you have any difficulties or questions concerning the document request, please contact me by email or phone at 404-997-4551.

In the coming weeks, we will schedule a meeting with you and staff to confirm site arrival and meeting times, discuss any questions you may have regarding the document request, and inspection.

Thanks, Chad Oelstrom, P.E.
